    The BEAUMONT FARMERS MARKET APPLICATION

    “The Beaumont Farmers Market” is a farmers market connecting the community of southeast Texas to the freshest locally grown and produced foods available. The main goals of the market include:

  • Promoting the sustainable production, marketing, and consumption of local agriculture produce

  • Educating the community about local growing conditions and food crops and about the nutritional benefits of eating local produce in season

  • Contribute to the local economy by redirecting consumers’ food dollars from non-local to local growers and producers

  • Providing a community gathering place.

    Admittance to the Beaumont Farmers Market is based on approval by the Beaumont Farmers Market Board of Directors. In general vendors must sell products grown or produced by the vendor within 150 miles, hold all required permits, licenses, and insurance policies necessary for their business operation, sign the indemnity agreement included in the vendor application holding the Beaumont Farmers Market harmless, allow market representatives to inspect their farm and production facilities prior to selling at the market and any potential additional, visits; and pay the daily market fee.

    PLEASE PROVIDE COPIES OF ALL LICENSES AND PERMITS!

    These may include manufacturers license, nursery permit, organic certification, mobile food license, sales tax permits, scale certification, food manager’s certification, and any others.
    Please include a copy of limits page of any insurance policies you hold for the operation of your business.
    Please include a map and directions to your farm, growing area, or kitchen so that market representatives may visit it. Inspection visits will be scheduled ahead of time.

    PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

    Each vendor pays a day fee per stall for each market attended. A current fee schedule is attached.
    Vendor has read the the Beaumont Farmers Market Rules and is bound to the terms and conditions outlined there. Vendor may sell only what is listed on this application. Vendors are responsible for the quality and safety of what they sell.
    Vendor agrees to comply and abide by the rules and regulations of the Beaumont Farmers Market.
    The Beaumont Farmer’s Market will provide a clean and inviting market area along with water, electricity and bathroom facilities. Marketing a public relations material will be handled by the Market Manager.
